Ground Render: Resolution

From WiCWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The Ground Render Resolution tab is used for redistributing texture resolution across a map to make optimal use of memory. For example, you may want to use higher resolution ground textures in a heavily trafficked area, while lowering the resolution a bit in the outskirts of the map. There are three possible tile resolutions: High (2048), Standard (1024) and Low (512). Left click on a tile to increase its resolution and right click to decrease it. A memory meter will keep track on whether you can add more texture memory to the map.

NOTE: Resolution settings will be handled relatively by the Render function. For example: if you set a tile to 2048 and render in High Quality, the output will be 1024. If you do the same with a 1024 tile, the output will be 512. To always get the intended resolution, render in Full Quality.
